Oatmeal Scotchies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 cups oatmeal uncooked
  • 1 package butterscotch chips

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment or spray with baking spray.
  • If using a stand mixer, fit with paddle attachment.
  • Cream together butter,brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  • Add in the egg, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda, and cloves.
  • Mix in flour. Fold in oatmeal and butterscotch chips.
  • Drop by the teaspoonful onto a greased or parchment lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes.

Notes

You can use Quick Oats or old fashioned oats in this recipe.
