Sourdough Barm Day 1
Day 1 of your sourdough starter
organic if you can find them
whole wheat flour
Heat water in microwave for about a minute or until warm to the touch but not boiling.
Add in raisins. Soak for 15 minutes. Drain and keep the raisin water.
Add 1 cup of the raisin water to a large glass or stainless steel bowl (not aluminum or plastic). Add in whole wheat flour and honey.
Stir to combine. Mixture should have the consistency of pancake batter.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap and leave out on your counter overnight.
